HOLLOW FIBER MEMBRANE CROSS-FLOW FILTRATION SERIES

Current Location: Home > Product Center > Hollow Fiber Membrane Filtration System

Product Applications

Our hollow fiber membrane cross-flow filtration equipment is used in alcoholic beverages, condiments, tea beverages, juices, plant and animal extracts, fine chemicals and water treatment. It is designed for separation, clarification, sterilizing filtration and purification. The system provides stable filtration precision down to 0.18 um, and the membrane elements resist acid and alkaline corrosion for complex process liquids.

All product-contact parts are made of food-grade stainless steel, ensuring safety with no leachables. Compared with traditional ceramic membrane equipment, it offers significant cost advantages in both equipment purchase and per-ton operating costs, with lower overall power consumption and reduced long-term energy usage. The modular cross-flow design enables simple and convenient disassembly and cleaning, substantially reducing operation and maintenance labor requirements.

The complete series covers a wide range of models, from small-scale pilot units to large-scale production systems, accommodating diverse production capacities. Proven through real-world projects across multiple industries, the equipment delivers stable, reliable operation and can simplify production workflows while improving product clarity and overall production efficiency. It is the preferred high-efficiency, low-cost filtration solution for the food and beverage, chemical, and water treatment industries.

Technical Introduction

Hollow fiber membrane filtration uses numerous microporous membrane filaments to form a high-efficiency separation unit. The feed liquid flows continuously along the outside of the membrane filaments, achieving clarification, sterilization and material separation under pressure differential. The outside-in structure provides a more spacious feed path. Combined with cross-flow scouring, it reduces contaminant layer accumulation on the membrane surface, making it suitable for complex feed liquids containing suspended solids, colloids and microorganisms.

Filtration precision comparison chart

Filtration Precision Range

The filtration precision chart shows particle-size ranges for different particles, microorganisms and separation processes. Hollow fiber membrane microfiltration mainly falls within the microfiltration range. This equipment series provides stable precision down to 0.18 um and can be used for suspended-solids retention, yeast recovery, clarification, sterilizing filtration and purification.

  • Stable filtration precision down to 0.18μm
  • Removes suspended solids, microorganisms and fine particles
  • Supports clarification, sterilizing filtration and purification
Outside-in hollow fiber cross-flow principle

Outside-In Cross-Flow Principle

Feed liquid flows along the outside of the hollow fibers. Permeate passes through the membrane wall into the fiber lumen, while retained solids continue with the concentrate stream. This flow pattern helps reduce surface accumulation and supports stable long-term operation.

  • Outside-in flow path for high-solids liquids
  • Cross-flow velocity helps reduce membrane fouling
  • Backwash and cleaning cycles maintain stable flux
